張小英- 三個夢

In 1965, a Singaporean but of Shanghainese parentage, Chang Siao Ying ( 张小英) came into prominence when she won the Rediffusion (Singapore’s first commercial and first cable-transmitted radio station) Talentime singing contest in 1965. She was signed up for a recording contract with Precious Urn Record and a song, Three Dreams (三個夢), was specially written for her first new album. This is the very first of Chang Siao Ying’s album which in English it is called Off Beat ‘n’ A Go Go and released in 1966. Soon Chang Siao Ying became a household name and became very much in demand. In the beginning, she was accompanied by the versatile instrumental group, The Travellers (旅者樂隊) but was later backed by The Stylers (時代樂隊) who were more popular in the region then.
